On October 26, under the auspices of Cardiac Surgery Clinic ,,Open Heart’’ and Georgian Heart Foundation, the medical conference ,,New Challenges In Cardiovascular Medicine’’ was held, that was dedicated to World Heart Day.
Especially for this day, the speakers were invited from Israel.

Professor Shlomi Matetzky, MD – Deputy Director of Israel Heart Society; Deputy Director of Cardiology Department of Sheba Medical Center.

At the conference the speech was given by Kakhaber Latsuzbaia, the Chief of Adult Cardiac Surgery Department.
Antithrombotic strategy in patients with Atrial Fibrillation, Pulmonary thromboembolism, Cardio-Oncology, Diabetes and Cardiology, Interesting medical Case reports – this is a list of topics that made this conference very interesting and informative.
Conductors of the session and panel discussion were: Prof. Merab Mamatsashvili, Prof. Vakhtang Chumburidze and Mr. Vladimir Velebit.
A similar type of medical conference will be held in the future, since it aims to share international and local experience and future cooperation.

On June 6, 2015, the first international medical conference “Open Heart” was held under the auspices of the Cardiac Surgery Clinic “Open Heart”.
The conference was devoted to the issues of cardiology, cardiac surgery and intensive care, discussed and presented 15 years of experience of Georgian and foreign specialists.
