Our neonatal care unit represents one of the most important departments in our hospital, with its experienced and qualified team, where we celebrate the birth of a new life.  Department works according to the worlds maternity houses’ standards.

The main priority for our neonatal care unit is, to create safe and comfortable atmosphere for a mother and a newborn, for that both are placed in one chamber, where qualified nurse helps a novice mother in taking care of her baby.   Also, it’s very important to maintain a newborn’s temperature, for that we use ,, skin to skin” method, from  30 minutes to 2 hours naked infant is placed on mother’s breast, during that time the one gets mothers’ microflora and  very first time does breastfeeding.

Neonatal care unit’s podiatrist manages to control newborn baby’s health condition every morning, including temperature and weight. Of course, mother is involved  in that process, receiving necessary and important advises about taking care baby.

Examination  room is equipped with : scales , body warmer tables and incubators. These are all intended for premature babies who do not need to move into newborn resuscitation.

Under exceptional supervision are : premature infants, newborns with low birth weight compared to timely gestational age, which don’t require 2nd and 3rd levels  intensive care. At this time it is necessary to avoid excessive weight loss and violation of thermoregulation.
