Patient: 62 years old male
Left ventricular pseudoaneurysm plastic surgery.
After going through diagnostics, severe coronary vessel damages was discovered in the patient. Because of the front descending artery occlusion and left ventricular severe infarct, the patient developed left ventricular peak and left ventricular apical aneurysm, with huge thrombotic clots on the left side of ventricle.
In 19.03.2019, the patient was admitted in a regional hospital with severe, prolonged stenocardia attack and trouble breathing. In a clinic, through echoscopy, huge left ventricular pseudoaneurysm was discovered, with huge thrombotic mass. In 21.03.2019, the patient was transferred to the clinic “Open heart” for surgical treatment.
In our clinic, on the same day, with signs of life, a surgery was performed, through which, we discovered that in the area of left ventricular peak, there was a puncture that was connected to the pseudoaneurysm that was made up of heart’s superficial layers and had pericardium layer attached to it. During the operation, thrombotic masses were removed from left ventricle. Left ventricular pseudoaneurysm plastic surgery was performed coronal arteries were shunt. The surgery was a success.
Post-surgical period was satisfactory. The patient was discharged from the clinic, rehabilitation continues and is under outpatient supervision.
